Well the first batch of 2000 helmet stickers went quick. They are back in stock, the second

Kevin McDonald's Helmet Sticker page.
They are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Proceeds to go to the McDonald Family Fund.

Here is the ultrasound picture of my boy. My wife and I just found out that our second child,
due in June, is going to be a boy. We are going to name him Kevin Patrick McDonald.

1/7/01 New Photo and New Sponsors
I would like to thank Tom Meier for the photo he submitted. It was taken the night before Kevin
McDonald passed away, at the FireFighter of the Year award ceremony, where Tome Meier was decorated. I added it to
Kevin McDonald's Photo Gallery.
I would like to welcome two new sponsors,
Eagle Emblems & Graphics, and
Firefighters Bookstore.
1/5/01 Blood Platelet Donations
After my cousin Kevin passed away, I found out that he had donated blood platelets 99
times. His brother Mark donated the 100th time in his stead. It seems Kevin has had a profound effect on alot of
people. Last week I gave blood for the first time since high school. In all, 74 pints were collected for a blood drive
done in his memory. Next month I am going to follow his example and donate blood platelets.
Anyone who is interested in donating blood platelets please call the Red Cross. Judy
Hughes can be reached at (860) 678-2749. Donations are taken in Farmington, CT. The first visit takes only a 1/2
hour, and allows them to count your platelets. Two weeks later you can donate - that takes about 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
The only preperation required is to drink a couple extra glasses of water the day before. Platelets collected from
donors are used for patients who require numerous platelet transfusions, for example leukemia and cancer patients
who have received chemotherapy.
