Our condolences to the Huber family and the Newcastle Fire
Department of Wyoming. Student FireFighter Andee Huber,
16, a 10th grader at Newcastle High School died Thursday
May 22, 2003. Andee was responding to nightime fire call with
Weston County FireFighter Ron Caillier, 46, when he lost control
of the 1981 Freightliner Tanker and drifted off the roadway
overturning the tanker almost twice. Andee was ejected. Ron
was treated for minor injuries. Neither passenger was wearing
their seatbelt. Andee was rushed to a local hospital where she
was pronounced.
Our sister Andee leaves behind her parents Gary and Sharon,
and her sister Teri, and her brothers Kevin and Hayden. Hayden
was deployed on the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman during
Operation Iraqi Freedom for six months only to return and hear
the news of his sister's death. A visitation for Andee will be held
Tuesday May 27, 2003 2-3PM at Newcastle High School Auditorium.
A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 4PM. Burial
