Our condolences to the Autry family and the Herring Volunteer Fire Department of North Carolina. Medic Bridgett Autry, 18,
a 2 year veteran of the Herring Volunteer Fire Department died Thursday June 13, 2002. Bridgett was responding to a call
from the fire station when she lost control and rolled her 1993 Chevy Blazer. Bridgett was ejected in the rollover. She was
rushed to Sampson County Regional Medical Center in Clinton and pronounced dead.
A funeral was held for Bridgett on Sunday June 16, 2002 3PM at Clinton. Internment was at Hickory Grove Baptist Church
