Service, and the Broomtown Volunteer Fire Department of Alabama.
FireFighter Billy Tucker, 70, a veteran of the Cherokee County Rescue
Service, and a former Chief of the Broomtown Volunteer Fire
Department died Sunday April 6, 2003. Billy was directing traffic at a
two-vehicle mva near State Highways 35 and 73 in Blanche when he
was struck and killed by a passing car.
Our brother Billy leaves behind his wife Peggy and seven children,
including two sons who are members of the Broomtown Volunteer
Fire Department. A visitation was held Tuesday April 8, 2003 6-8PM
at Mason Funeral Home in Summerville. Internment was held
Wednesday April 9, 2003 12PM at A.M.I. Cemetery in Menlo. The
family has requested that donations be made to:
