Our condolences to the Walters family and the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport
Fire Department of Bentonville, Arkansas. FireFighter/EMT Curtis Walters, 52, a 25
year veteran of the Siloam Springs Arkansas Fire Department and 3 year veteran
of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Fire Department died Wednesday
February 26, 2003. Curtis was found on the apparatus floor without a pulse. Many
of his brothers from local departments responded but were unable to revive him.
Curtis was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He was recently promoted to
Captain and would have served his first shift three days later on Satuday
March 1, 2003.
Our brother Curtis leaves behind two young sons. A funeral will be held for Curtis
on Satuday March 1, 2003 2PM at Roberts Funeral Home in Westville, Oklahoma.
