Our condolences to the Grubor family and the Lewistown Fire
Protection District of Illinois. Deputy Chief Daniel Grubor,
42, a 21 year veteran of the Lewistown Fire Protection District,
died Saturday March 22, 2008. Daniel had responded to a mutual
aid structure fire late on Friday night. About an hour after
returning home, he collapsed from an unknown cause. He was
transported to Mason District Hospital by Fulton County EMS
but passed away shortly after.
Our brother Daniel leaves behind his wife Mary Lou and his
daughter Candy. A visitation for Daniel will be held on Tuesday
March 25, 2008 4-7PM at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.
A funeral service for Daniel will be held on Wednesday March 26,
2008 10:30AM at the Lewistown United Methodist Church followed by
a burial in Waterford Cemetery in Lewistown.
