Our condolences to the Harris family and the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department of
Tellico Plains, Tennessee. FireFighter Dennis Harris, 43, a 10 year veteran of the Mount
Vernon Volunteer Fire Department died Thursday December 5, 2002. Dennis was
operating a pumper at a structure fire when he when he went into cardiac arrest. He was
transported to Sweetwater Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Our brother leaves behind his wife Tammy, 3 adult daughters and a 13 year old son. A
funeral was held for Dennis on Saturday December 7, 2002 at Bierley-Hale Funeral Home in
Madisonville.
