Our condolences to the Schreckengast family and the Logan Fire
Company of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Fire Police Officer Donald
Schreckengast, 55, a 25 year veteran volunteer firefighter with
the Logan Fire Company died Saturday June 14, 2003. Donald was
directing traffic at the annual Bellefonte Cruise Parade when he
collapsed from an apparent heart attack. He was rushed to Centre
Community Hospital where he later died.
Donald was also a member of the Central District Volunteer
Firemen's Association and the Citizens Hook and Ladder
Company of Milesburg, Pennsylvania.
Our brother Donald leaves behind his longtime companion
Sandra, his father Warren, and his brother Ronald. A visitation
will be held for Donald on Wednesday Kune 18, 2003 6-9PM at
Wetzler Funaeral Home in Bellefonte. A funeral will be held for
Donald on Thursday June 19, 2003 10:30AM at Wetzler Funeral
Home followed by a burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Union
Township. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers
