Our condolences to the Heatherman family and the Brisben Fire Department of New York. Fire Police Captain Ernest Heatherman, 45, a 6 year veteran volunteer with the Brisben Fire Department died Monday February 16, 2004. Ernest had mentioned he was not feeling well and had gone home to take a nap after returning from a chimney fire. His wife called 911 an hour later reporting her husband was having a heart attack. He was rushed to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City where he was pronounced dead.

Ernest was also an active member of the Chenango County Fire Police Association.

     Our brother Ernest leaves behind his wife Karen and his four children Brandi, Jamiee, Harlee, and Courtney. Calling hours for Ernest will be held on Thursday February 19, 2004 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Root Funeral Home in Greene, New York.
