Our condolences to the Kureczka family and the Hartford Fire Department of Connecticut. Lieutenant Edmond Kureczka, 46, a 23 year veteran of the Hartford Fire Department died Sunday November 16, 2003. Edmond died of an apparent heart attack.

     Edmond joined the Hartford Fire Department in 1981 and achieved the rank of Lieutenant of Tactical Unit One stationed at Department Headquarters. He was an active member of Local 760, serving as Vice Presdient the last 3 years and as an Executive Board member since 1994. He was also Trustee of the Fireman's Benevolent Society, Past Treasurer of the Police and Fireman's Association and a member of the Firefighters Protective Association.

     Our brother Edmond leaves behind his wife Rita, his daughter Alicia, and his son Edmond III. A visitation will be held for Edmond on Wednesday November 19, 2003 4-8PM at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road in Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edmond on Thursday November 20, 2003 10AM at Saint Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue in Hartford, followed by a burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
