Our condolences to the Roberts family and the Fulton County Fire
Department of Atlanta, Georgia. FireFighter Felix Roberts, 41,
an 8 year veteran of the Fulton County Fire Department, died
Monday May 28, 2007. Felix was performing search and rescue
for a trapped occupant at a structure fire in Johns Creek when
he was caught in a flashover. He was rescued by his brother
firefighters and transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital
where he died shortly after. Another firefighter was treated for
burns to his hands and the trapped civilian died in the fire.
Felix was a Desert Storm Veteran and also fought fires for the
Sandy Springs Fire Department.
Our brother Felix leaves behind his mother and four siblings.
Funeral and memorial information will be posted when it is
released.
