Our condolences to the Cloud family and the Kent Volunteer Fire
Department of Madison, Indiana. FireFighter Greg Cloud, 33, a
3 year veteran of the Kent Volunteer Fire Department died Wednesday
November 1, 2006. Greg had responded to a structure fire at an 11,000
square foot home on Little King Miniature Horse Farm in Kent when a
flashover occurred. Two members of his team exited the structure after
the flashover, then realizing that Greg had not made it out. They
re-entered the structure and found Greg on the second floor. Madison
Township Fire Chief Robert Black was seriously injured while rescuing
Greg after the flashover.

Greg joined the Kent Volunteer Fire Department in 2003 and was also
on the fire brigade at Arkema Inc., a chemical plant in Carrollton,
Kentucky, where he worked.

Our brother Greg leaves behind his wife, Melinda. A visitation for Greg
will be held on Saturday November 4, 2006 4PM at Southwestern High
School in Hanover, Indiana. A funeral for Greg will be held on Sunday
November 5, 2006 2PM also at Southwestern High School in Hanover.
Internment will follow at Grand View Memorial Gardens in Madison,
Indiana. The family has requested that memorial donations be made
to Kids for Fishing or the Kent Volunteer Fire Company. Donations can
