Our condolences to the Walker family and the Clarksville Fire Department of Indiana. FireFighter George Walker, 62, a 31 year veteran of the Clarksville Fire Department died Saturday February 1, 2003. George suffered a heart attack while working at a Spicewood Drive structure fire on Sunday December 15, 2002. He was treated at the scene and transported to Kindred Hospital in Louisville where he passed away weeks later.

     Our brother George leaves behind his three daughters, two sons, and eleven granchildren. The New Albany Fire Department will be providing an honor guard at George's funeral. There will be a bag piper from the Louisville Fire Department of Kentucky and apparatus from the Clarksville Fire Department and the Jeffersonville Fire Department.

     Visitation for George will be held on Monday February 3, 2003 2-8PM at Mullineaux Chapel in New Albany. A funeral will be held for George on Tuesday February 4, 2003 1PM at Pyke-Calloway Mullineaux Chapel Funeral Home in New Albany with burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
