Our condolences to the McClune family and the Millerton Fire Department
of Millerton, New York. FireFighter Hector 'Sandy' McClune, 76, a 40-year
active life member of the Millerton Fire Department, died Sunday November
26, 2006. Sandy was assisting with extinguishment of a grass fire at the
Millerton Elementary School when he collapsed at the scene. His brother
firefighters attempted to resuscitate him, but were unable. He was
transported to Sharon Hospital in Sharon, Connecticut where he was
pronounced dead.
Our brother Sandy leaves behind his wife, Agnes, his two daughters,
Shiela and Bonnie, his son James, and several grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held for Sandy on Thursday November 30, 2006 6-8PM
at Valentine Funeral Home in Millerton. A funeral will be held for Sandy
on Friday December 1, 2006 10AM at the Valentine Funeral Home, followed
by a procession through the Village of Millerton to Irondale Cemetery.
