Our condolences to the Arthur family and the Cold Water Volunteer
Fire Department of Concord, North Carolina. FireFighter James
Arthur, 19, a 4 year veteran of the Cold Water Volunteer Fire
Department, died Monday February 11, 2008. James was responding
to a motor vehicle accident in his personal vehicle on Old Concord
Road when he took a curve too fast and his pickup truck left the
roadway, overturned, and he was ejected. He was transported to
CMC-Northeast Hospital in Concord, but died shorthly after.

James joined Cold Water Volunteer Fire Department as a Junior
FireFighter soon as he turned 16, following in his father's
footsteps becoming a volunteer firefighter. He had worked various
jobs after high school, but was taking classes and working towards
his goal of becoming a professional firefighter and an emergency
medical technician.

Our brother James leaves behind his parents Woody and Terri, and his
two sisters Shannon and Whitney. A visitation for James will be held
on Friday February 15, 2008 5-8:30PM at Wilkinson Funeral Home in
Concord. A funeral for James will be held on Saturday February 16,
2008 2PM at New Gilead United Church of Christ in Concord.
