Our condolences to the Beyer family and the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company of Wilson, New York. FireFighter John Beyer, 38, a 4 year veteran with the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company died Friday September 22, 2006. John had participated in a 2 hour motor vehicle extrication training exercise on Thursday September 21, 2006. He returned home after training and subsequently collapsed. He was transported to the hospital in full cardiac arrest but was successfully resuscitated. He succembed to his injuries the following day.

     John was also a full time employee with Rural Metro and dedicated his life to the emergency service.

     Our brother John leaves behind a special friend, Rachel, and his two daughters, Amy and Beth. Calling hours for John were held Tuesday September 26, 2006 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the Colonial Memorial Chapels in Lackawanna, NY. A firematic service for John was held Wednesday September 27, 2006 6:45PM at the Fire Hall in Wilson. A funeral service for John will be held on Thursday September 28, 2006 9:30AM at St. Martin's of Tours Church in Buffalo, NY.
