Our condolences to the Bingham family and the Geary Fire Department of
Oklahoma. Assistant Fire Chief Jon Bingham, 48, a 19 year veteran of
the Geary Fire Department, died Friday November 30, 2007. Jon had
responded to a structure fire at the Grand Valley Apartments with a
fatality late on the night of Wednesday November 28th and stayed on
scene for 18 hours until the body was recovered before returning to
the fire station and then to his home. Several hours after returning
to his home and going to bed, he passed away from an apparent heart attack.
Our brother was Jon leaves behind his wife Linda. He was buried with full
firefighter honors on Monday December 3, 2007. A memorial fund has been
