Our condolences to the Delaney family and the Mesa Fire Department
of Arizona. Fire Captain John Delaney, 44, a 23 year veteran of the
Mesa Fire Department, died Monday March 17, 2008. John was found
in his office in full cardiac arrest. He was transported to Mesa
General Hospital where he died shortly after.
John served this union as an executive officer for many years. He
was also the recipient of a successful kidney transplant from a
brother Mesa firefighter in 2002.
Our brother John leaves behind eight children ages 5 to 19.
A visitation for John will be held on Monday March 24, 2008
6-8PM at Bunker Family Funeral Garden Chapel in Mesa. A
funeral service will be held on Tuesday march 25, 2008 9:30AM
at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa. Memorial information will
be posted when it is released.
