FireFighter Jason Hampton, 19, a volunteer with the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department died Thursday September 5, 2002. Jason was responding to a brush fire when the tanker he was driving veered off the road and crashed. He was the only occupant of the vehicle and there were no other cars involved on the straight roadway.
