Our condolences to the Nuckols family and the Navy Regional
Fire Rescue / Hampton Roads Fire Deparment of Norfolk, Virginia.
FireFighter Jean Nuckols, 47, a 23 year veteran of the department
died January 31, 2004. Jean had been performing training activities
when he suffered a stroke. He was rushed to a local hospital where
he died three days later.
Jean was also a former deputy fire chief of the Whaleyville
Volunteer Fire Department and a U.S. Army veteran.
Our brother Jean leaves behind his wife Katherine, and his two
daughters Autumn and Savannah. A viewing will be held for Jean
on Tuesday February 3, 2004 7-8PM at Harrell and Hill Funeral
Home in Suffolk, Virginia. A funeral will be held for Jean on
Wednesday February 4, 2003 1PM at Whaleyville United
Methodist Church in Suffolk.
