Our condolences to the Qualls family and the Bayou La Batre Fire
Department of Alabama. Lieutenant Joey Qualls, 29, a 14 year
veteran of the Bayou La Batre Fire Department died Friday July
11, 2003. Joey was found unresponsive by his fiancee after he
had returned to his home after an emergency dispatch. His cause
of death is to be determined.
A funeral will be held for Joey on Monday July 14, 2003 12 noon
from the Bayou La Batre Community Center. Internment will take
place in Oddfellow's Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to:
