Our condolences to the Taylor family, the Bonham Fire Department, and the Blossom Volunteer Fire Department of Texas. FireFighter/EMT James Taylor, 28, a six month veteran of the Bonham Fire Department died Sunday January 19, 2003. James was responding to an MVA when his ambulance Medic 3 was involved in a head on collision with a PT Cruiser. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision. The driver of the ambulance, David Hale, was injured and transported to a local hospital in guarded condition. The driver of the other vehicle also died.

     James was also a volunteer firefighter with the Blossom Volunteer Fire Department and was employed by a private ambulance service prior to being hired by the Bonham Fire Department.

     Visitation for James will be held Tuesday January 21, 2003 7-9PM at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, Texas. A funeral will be held for James on Wednesday January 22, 2003 4PM at Prairiland High School in Pattonville, Texas. Internment to follow at the Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom, Texas.
