Our condolences to the Zumwalt family and the Sheldon Fire Department
of Illinois. FireFighter Joseph Zumwalt, 53, a veteran of the Sheldon
Fire Department for many years, died Monday May 7, 2007. Joseph had
just been rotated off the nozzle at a tool shed fire on the historical
landmark Nagele Farm outside of Sheldon, when he collapsed. He was
transported to Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka where he was
pronounced.
Our brother Joseph leaves behind his wife Ursula, and his two children,
Adam and Courtney. A visitation for Joseph will be held on Wednesday May
9, 2007 4-8PM and Thursday May 10, 2007 11AM-1PM at Baier Funeral Home in
Watseka. A funeral service will be held for Joseph on Thursday May 10, 2007
1PM at Sheldon United Methodist Church in Sheldon.
