Our condolences to the Briscoe family and the Hickory Flat Volunteer
Fire Department of Mississippi. Youth FireFighter Karlton Briscoe, 16,
a 2 year veteran Youth FireFighter died late Tuesday night March 25,
2003. Karlton died from injuries he sustained while responding to an
alarm when his personal vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a
ravine.
Our brother Karlton leaves behind his father Ronnie, his mother
Tammy, and his step-father Mike; his brothers Craig, Ben and
Brandon; and his sisters Brittney and Angie. A funeral for Karlton
was held Thursday March 27, 2003 at Hickory Flat High School
gym followed by a burial at McKay Cemetery in Hickory Flat led
by members of the Hickory Flat Volunteer Fire Department.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Hickory Flat High
School Baseball Team. A memorial fund has been established
