Our condolences to the Shea family and the Elsmere Fire Company
of Delmar, New York. Assistant Chief Kevin Shea, 54, a 30 year
veteran of the Elsmere Fire Company died Saturday January 24,
2004. Kevin had returned from an emergency call at a nursing home
and collapsed in his vehicle in front of the firehouse. He was rushed
to Albany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short
time later.
Our brother Kevin leaves behind a wife and daughter. A wake will
be held for Kevin on Wednesday January 28, 2004 4-8PM at Saint
Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Delmar, New York. A funeral
will be held for Kevin on Thursday January 29, 2004 11AM at Saint
Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church followed by a final call at
Elsmere Fire Company in Delmar followed by a burial at Calvery
Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established and donations
