Our condolences to the Sheridan family and ther Troy Township
Fire Protection District of Shorewood, Illinois. Fire Chief Kerry
Sheridan, 75, a 50 year veteran of the Troy Township Fire
Protection District, died Tuesday February 12, 2008. Kerry
was found unresponsive in his office and was transported
to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet where he
died shortly after.
Kerry was a very active member of his community. He was the Chairman
of the Will County Local Emergency Planning Committee, a member of
the Illinois Fire Chief’s Association, and a member of the Joliet
Junior College Fire Science Advisory Committee. He was a veteran
of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Founding Father of the Volunteer
Fire District in Troy Township.
Our brother kerry leaves behind his wife Donna, and his two
daughters Diane and Patricia. A visitation for Kerry will be
held on Friday February 15, 2008 3-9PM at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles
Funeral Home in Joliet. A funeral service for Kerry will be held
on Saturday February 16, 2008 10AM at Troy Crossroad Middle School
