Our condolences to the Breaux family and the Crowley Fire Department of Lousiana. Captain Lucien Dale Breaux, 60, a 23 year veteran of the Crowley Fire Department, died Saturday March 17, 2007. Dale was awakened at the South Substation by a dispatch for a motor vehicle extrication but did not feel well and had cold sweats. He called for EMS to respond to the fire station. While being transported to American Legion Hospital he suffered multiple cardiac arrests. Despite being revived during the transport, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

     Dale was a 23 year veteran of the Crowley Firefighters Local 1442 and was looking forward to his retirement after this, his final year with the Crowley Fire Department. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War.

     Our brother Dale leaves behind his wife Kathleen, his son Robert Dale, his daughter Donna Lynn, and four grandchildren. A visitation will be held for Dale on Monday March 20, 2007 11AM-10PM and Tuesday March 21, 2007 8AM-12PM at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. A mass of christian burial will be hled for Dale on Tuesday March 21, 2007 1PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, followed by committal services at Woodlawn Cemetery.
