Our condolences to the Brown family and the Kingsley Field Fire Department of Klamath
Falls, Oregon. Captain Larry Brown, 53, a 23 year veteran of the Kingsley Field Fire
Department died Thursday February 20, 2003. Larry suffered a heart attack while on
duty at the fire station. His brothers found him and alerted the Klamath County Fire
District for advanced life support. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Larry was honored as Firefighter of the Year in 1987 and made the promotion to
Captain in 1990. Larry served 2 years in the United States Navy and he was honored
at his services with both a Fire Department honor guard and a 21 gun salute by the
Army National Guard. Services for Larry were held Wednesday February 26, 2003 at
Eternal Hills Crematory in Klamath Falls.
Our brother Larry leaves behind a wife, Barbara, two adult sons, Tim and Cory, and
three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to
the Make A Wish Foundation and the Klamath First Christian Church. Donations can
