Our condolences to the Carter family and the Phoenix Fire Department
of Arizona. Fire Engineer Mark Carter, 53, a 16 year veteran of the
Phoenix Fire Department, died Monday June 4, 2007. Mark started his
shift at 8AM and responded to several medical emergency calls during
the morning. Just after noon he collapsed from an apparent heart attack
while stopping for lunch at a restaurant with his crew. His brothers
were unable to revive him and he was pronounced at the Mayo Clinic
Hospital.
Our brother Mark leaves behind his wife Leah who lives in Northern
Arizona, a daughter in Houston and a stepdaughter in Phoenix. A
funeral will be held for Mark on Saturday June 9, 2007 10AM at
Valley Cathedral Church in Phoenix. Memorial information will be
posted when it is released.
