It is with deep regret we announce the passing of FireFighter Newman
Shifflett, 55, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Newman was an Aircraft
Rescue FireFighter at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona before being
hired by Metropolitan Washington DC Airport Fire Department and
stationed at Washington Dulles International Airport where he spent
the rest of his career. Newman died Friday February 15, 2002 of
natural causes at Milton Hershey Medical Center at the age of 55.
Our brother Newman leaves behind his son Shane Shifflett, a FireFighter
with the White Sands Missle Range Fire Department of New Mexico, and
