Our condolences to the Baker family and the Turtle Creek
Fire Department of Benton, Arkansas. Lieutenant Paul Baker,
39, a 23 year veteran of the Turle Creek Fire Department, died
Friday August 10, 2007. Paul had responded to an early morning
motor vehicle accident on the Saline Bridge of Interstate 30.
While working to extract the victim, he lost his footing and
fell off the bridge to the ground 40 feet below, suffering
fatal injuries.
Our brother Paul leaves behind his wife Arla, his son FireFighter
Andy Baker (18), and his daughters Gina (12) and Stephanie (20).
A visitation will be held for Paul on Tuesday August 14, 2007
6-8PM at Ashby Funeral Home. A memorial service for Paul will be
held on Wednesday August 15, 2007 10AM at Ashby Funeral Home
followed by interment at Mount Harmony Cemetery in Haskell. A
