Our condolences to the Beebe-Lawson family and the Springfield Fire
Department of Maine. FireFighter Peter Beebe-Lawson, 50, a veteran
volunteer with the Springfield Fire Department, died Monday May 7,
2007. Peter was responding to a sawmill fire in nearby Prentice,
when the 1989 Irving tanker truck he was driving left the roadway and
overturned into pine trees on a sharp curve of Route 169. The tanker
absorbed heavy front end and roof damage, Peter was pronounced
at the scene.
Our brother Peter leaves behind his wife Selby and his three step-children
John, David, and Christa Vail. A mass of christian burial will be held on
Thursday May 10, 2007 11AM at St. James Catholic Church in Kingman followed
by internemnt in Mary's Wood Cemetery in Springfield. A memorial Mass will
be celebrated on Monday May 14, 2007 11AM at St. Joseph's Church in Portland.
