Our condolences to the Morris family and the Sedalia Fire Department
of Missouri. FireFighter Rick Morris, 54, a 33 year veteran of the
Sedalia Fire Department, died Thursday April 17, 2008. Rick suffered
2nd and 3rd degree burns to 50% of his body during a flashover at a
residential structure fire on Tuesday April 8th. He was transported
by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia where he was in
critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries a week later.
Our brother Rick leaves behind his wife Mary Lou, and his four
children Nathan, Tim, Ryan, and Christi . A visitation for Rick
will be held on Monday April 21, 2008 4-8PM at Sacred Heart Church.
A funeral service for Rick will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2008
10AM in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart School followed by internment
at Calvary Cemetery.
