Our condolences to the Poore family and the Briceville Volunteer Fire Department of Tennessee.
Firefighter Robert Poore, 71, a 28 year veteran and founding member of the Briceville Volunteer
Fire Department in 1974, died Monday November 11, 2002. Robert died of an apparent heart
attack after responding from the fire station to check his own home. Robert's home was badly
damaged by a tornado that damaged 10 homes in Briceville area.
Our brother Robert leaves behind his wife Betty, his two sons who are active in the Briceville
Volunteer Fire Department, Larry and Rickey, and his daughter Missy Fleming.
Visitation for Robert will be held Wednesday November 13, 2002 6-8PM at Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Lake City. A funeral service will follow at 8PM. Graveside services and burial
will be held Thursday November 14, 2002 2PM at Circle Cemetery in Briceville.
