Our condolences to the Simonis family and the Wissahickon Fire
Company of Ambler, Pennsylvania. FireFighter Raymond Simonis, 48,
a volunteer with the Wissahickon Fire Company, died Wednesday December
19, 2007. Raymond had operated at an afternoon mutual aid structure
fire in Upper Dublin Township. Later that same evening he had shortness
of breath, a cough but no chest pains. He was transported to Abington
Memorial Hospital where he coded upon arrival and passed away.
Raymond was also the Fire Chief at SPS Technologies in Jenkintown, where
he worked for 28 years as a machinist.
Our brother Raymond leaves behind his wife Christina, and his daughters
Marika, Alyssa, and Gabriella. A viewing for Raymond will be held on
Friday December 21, 2007 6:30-9PM at Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral
Home in Ambler. A funeral for Raymond will be held on Saturday December
22, 2007 10AM at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established
