Our condolences to the Topping family and the Barnsdall Volunteer Fire
Department of Oklahoma. FireFighter Russell Topping, 28, a volunteer
with the Barnsdall Fire Department, died Saturday May 31, 2008.
Russell had participated in a live fire exercise at the Oklahoma
State University Fire Service Training Center. Shortly after, as other
firefighters were preparing to leave for the day, Russell was found
unresponsive. CPR was administered and Russell was transported to
Stillwater Medical Center where he was pronounced.
Our brother Russell leaves behind his wife Billie Joe, who is expecting
their unborn son Rusty. A funeral service for Russell will be held on
Thursday June 5, 2008 2PM at Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church in
Bartlesville. A memorial fund has been established and donations can
