Sekou Turner, 28, two months away from completing his first year on the Alameda County Fire Department died
Wednesday May 22, 2002. Sekou suffered a heart attack while clearing from an EMS incident. His brother firefighters
provided CPR but he was pronounced dead an hour after arriving at San Ramon Regional Medical Center.
Public viewing for our brother Sekou Turner will be held Monday May 27, 2002 6-8PM at Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel,
270 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley, CA (415) 388-1573. A memorial funeral will be held Tuesday May 28, 2002 12PM at
Cornerstone Church of God & Christ, 626 Drake Avenue, Marin City, CA (415) 332-4295. Following services at the church,
internment will be at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, 4100 Hilltop Drive, Richmond, CA (510) 223-6161. A memorial fund has
