Our condolences to the Hage family and the Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire
Department of Waxhaw, North Carolina. FireFighter Todd Hage, 43, an 18
month veteran of the Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, died
Saturday August 11, 2007. Todd was alone while responding to a fire
alarm at an elementary school when the pumper he was driving, Engine
261, left the roadway and overturned. Todd passed away from his injuries
at the scene.
Todd also served his country as a member of U.S. Navy for 13 years,
retiring six years ago as a Lieutenant Commander. Joining the department
in April 2006, he got his full credentials in July, and recently he was
named 'Rookie of the Year'.
Our brother Todd leaves behind a wife and two young children. A visitation
will be held for Todd on Wednesday August 16, 2007 10-11:30AM at First Baptist
Church in Indian Trail. A funeral will be held for Todd immediately after
at 11:30AM followed by a burial at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services in
