Department of Ohio. Retired Former Fire Chief and FireFighter
Thomas Knox, 68, a 26 year veteran of the Mount Vernon Fire
Department, died Saturday October 20, 2007. Thomas passed
away at his home due to complications from surgery.
Thomas also served his country as a member of the United
States Air Force and was a member of the Colonial City
Moose Lodge, Eagles and Amvets Post #95.
Our brother Thomas leaves behind his wife Ann, his 2 daughters
Sharon and Dawn, and his son Thomas Jr. Calling hours for Thomas
were held on Wednesday October 24, 2007 2-4PM and 6-8PM at
North-Dilley Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A funeral service for
Thomas was held on Thursday October 25, 2007 10AM at the
funeral home followed by a burial with full military honors in
Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
