Our condolences to the McDaniels family and the Macanaqua Volunteer Fire
Company No. 1 of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania. Fire Police Captain William
McDaniels Sr, 51, a 15 year veteran of the Moconaqua Volunteer Fire Company,
died Saturday September 15, 2007. William had responded to a structure fire
at the Shickshinny High Rise. Shortly after arriving on the scene he
complained of chest pains and difficulty breathing. He was transported to
Berwick Hospital Center where he passed away shortly after from an apparent
heart attack.
Our brother William leaves behind his wife Debra, his son Mocanaqua
FireFighter William Jr, and his daughter Amy Jo. A visitation for William
will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2007 6-9PM at Mayo Funeral Home in
Shickshinny. A funeral service for William will be held on Wednesday
September 19, 2007 11AM at the funeral home followed by a burial at Sorber
Cemetery in Reyburn.
