Our condolences to the Tripp family and the Richford Volunteer Fire Department. FireFighter William Tripp Jr., 28, a 5 year
veteran of the Richford Volunteer Fire Department, died Saturday April 13, 2002. William was laying flares at a motor
vehicle accident when he collapsed. He was transported by Berkshire EMS to Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, where he
was pronounced dead.
Our brother William is survived by his parents and his daughter Cassandra. A visitation for William were held Monday
April 15, 2002 7-9PM at the Perkins Funeral Home in Dryden. A funeral was held Tuesday April 16, 2002 10AM at the
Perkins Funeral Home followed by a procession from Richford to Dryden. William's ashes will be carried by a Richford
Fire Department engine. Burial will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery in Dryden. A memorial fund has been established
and donations can be made to:
