Volunteer Fire Department of Mississippi. Fire Chief Walter
Walker, 68, an over 30 year veteran of the Collinsville
Volunteer Fire Department, died Saturday January 26, 2008.
Walter responding to a motor vehicle accident in his personal
vehicle when he lost control on Highway 19 in wet road
conditions and struck a tree. Walter was killed on impact.
Our brother Walter leaves behind his wife Ellen, and his sons
Randy, Ricky, and his daughter Renee. A funeral service for
Walter will be held on Monday January 28, 2008 at the Stephen
Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian followed by a burial at
First Baptist Church Cemetery in Meridian. In lieu of flowers,
